Project Description

London Bridge City

PROJECT | London Bridge City
SECTOR | Public
SERVICES PROVIDED | Decoration & Restoration, Maintenance

The Cottons Centre is part of London Bridge City, a landmark development on the South Bank of the River Thames. Constructed in 1986, the steel-frame building comprises office accommodation and basement level retail units arranged over eight floors.

This interesting project presented our team with its fair share of challenges. Notably, the works were completed within a particularly short time frame, during which the offices remained in constant use. Most of the internal redecoration was therefore executed at night and protected, safe access and egress had to be provided to the entrances and emergency exits at all times. The building’s riverside location meant that specialist spider cranes had to be operated for works to the street lamps and flag poles. Additionally, a river boat mounted access platform was erected for expert works to be carried out on the pagodas.

The quality of the finish achieved across this key refurbishment in London is a testimony to our attention to detail and years of experience working on prominent and iconic buildings.
