PROJECT | The Lanesborough Hotel
SECTOR | Hospitality & Leisure
SERVICES PROVIDED | Decoration & Restoration
BSPS were tasked with the external refurbishment of the Lanesborough Hotel. This included the complete redecoration of the building’s painted stucco façade and the ease and adjust and overhaul of all the traditional sash windows.
BSPS faced several challenging restrictions to working hours and access due to the site being in constant use and located on one of the busiest main red-routes through London. Scaffolding was not permitted at this site so access was gained via specialist power access cradles suspended from the roof. A scaffold crash deck was erected around the perimeter of the building, over the public footpath and entrance to Hyde Park Corner Underground station.
The building was immaculately redecorated in line with the specifications of The Grosvenor Estate and multiple restrictions of its Grade II listing.
