Located within easy reach of Elephant and Castle, 280 – 286 Merrow Street is a collection of quaint cottages just out with the hustle and bustle of the city. The expert team at BSPS were appointed to extend and refurb the properties to improve comfort, functionality and modern living standards.

Works included the installation of new drainage, refurbishment and extension of the cottages, and the creation of upgraded rear gardens. Internally, the team delivered new bathrooms and kitchens throughout, transforming the properties with modern, practical living spaces while respecting their existing character.

A full package of M&E works formed a key part of the project, including new heating systems, bathrooms and shower rooms, kitchen services, lighting installations and small power upgrades to support the refurbished homes.

One of the main challenges on the project was achieving drainage sign-off, requiring careful coordination and compliance to ensure all systems met the necessary standards. Through close collaboration and proactive problem-solving, the team successfully navigated this process to keep the project on track. The refurbishment was delivered to a high standard and the result is a refreshed residential development that offers improved functionality, comfort and long-term value to its new residents.
