Located on the top floor of its building, Crofton House presented BSPS with a full residential refurbishment in a property requiring careful logistical management throughout. With all materials needing to be brought up and down the stairs by hand, meticulous planning was essential to keep the programme on track.

BSPS were instructed to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of the flat, encompassing both fabric and finishing works from the roof down. A new flat roof was installed with upgraded insulation and covering, improving the thermal performance of the property at the outset of the works.

Internally, a full fit-out was completed including a new kitchen, shower room and separate bathroom, with new engineered timber flooring laid throughout and tiling to all wet areas. New skirtings, upgraded doors, built-in wardrobes and secondary glazing were installed throughout, with the whole flat finished with a fresh scheme of decoration.

Mechanical and electrical works included new lighting, electric wall heaters, a new bath, two showers, two WCs and two hand basins.

The project was completed over 16 weeks, delivering a fully refurbished top-floor flat to a high residential standard.
