Devonshire Place
Service: Decoration & Restoration
Sector: Residential
Devonshire Place is a stunning building within a beautiful Regency period conversion. To fully restore the building to its original glory, the expert team at BSPS were called in for some decoration and restoration work including custom ironwork and new flooring.
Externally, the windows and doors were fully restored with roof slate and brickwork repairs as well as the custom ironwork and installation of a man-safe fall arrest system.
Internally, the team undertook a full refurbishment of the common parts of the building including French polishing, joinery repairs and restoration of the bespoke timber panelling, replastering, subfloor repairs and new carpets. The team also fitted a brand-new intercom system as well as new lighting throughout.
Due to the age of the building, the condition of the traditional panelling was very poor and needed extensive repairs before any decorative work could be done. The subfloors also needed considerable attention before carpets could be laid.
The specialist team worked around residents of the building and liaised with them to ensure minimal disruption.
The full renovation by BSPS has stayed true to the building’s Georgian charm while bringing it bang up to date for lucky new residents.
