Hay's Galleria
Service: Decoration & Restoration
Sector: Heritage
Located on the doorstep of London Bridge, Hay’s Galleria is an impressive Grade II listed mix-use building that offers office space, restaurants and residential flats. Originally a warehouse, the building was redeveloped in the 1980s and is a unique, riverside destination with a rich heritage and community spirt.
Such an icon in London’s history deserves to be expertly maintained and so the specialist team at BSPS were asked to provide some decoration and restoration work.
The team worked on the masonry to the building’s façade, decoration of the metalwork, restoration of the traditional York Stone paving slabs – which included grinding down the riven and damaged surface – and repointing and replacing the York Stone paving to the entrance.
The expert team worked within busy public spaces during the project and so carried out the work in phases to cause minimal disruption.
