South Kensington is famous for having some of the most beautiful buildings in London. The stunning mid-Victorian white stucco terraces look picture perfect on Sumner Place and BSPS was honoured to be asked to renovate two properties in the street.

The external work involved elevation repairs, replacement of roof coverings and paving in the front gardens and entrance steps, as well as the replacement of the metal light well steps.

Inside, the buildings needed re-wiring of small power and lights, new handsets within the flats, new radiators, doors and ironmongery. The skilled team at BSPS also created bespoke post boxes as well as new plaster cornicing throughout, to match the traditional Victorian style, as well as a new carpet runner.

The striking flats were soon restored to their former splendour and are perfectly suited to the grandeur of South Kensington.
